On the 31/7/17 room4 had to write a memoir poetry about a book we read and I read the book once -

In my memoir poem I needed to add adjectives, nouns and verbs to describe the scene and sitution the character was in. Here is mine. What do you think?

The orphanage was filled enough.

It had lots of homeless kids , uneventful food and dirty water.

There was a big cafeteria, it is filled with soup and lots of bed,s standing still.

There was a small riot starting there was a big kid’s head being pushed in toilet and horrednous nazis searching ….

Im horrendously Sad, scared, bored

Doing everything important , to save some souls..

Today our success criteria was to right a 100 WC about a book we read. I chose to right about the book Once. I hope you read the book after you read my 100 WC good bye.

All i see is flames all around me  when I jump out I get knocked out I wake up and cry for my mum and dad  I look beside me and see a boy he said”go to sleep it will be a big day tomorrow we will find your mum and dad”. I go to sleep when I wake up I say”I need to pee and I want breakfast” he let me do a pee and have some water and bread he goes to see what the noise  is a machine gun is pointed at me so scary...

this week room 4 did a 100wc an are book we read I read once it was about the Nazi

I was running the flames were getting clearer I look if i can see people I can’t see anyone the fire is still miles away so I don’t think I would be able to see any yet when I got near the flames I a gunshots I see  people on the ground. I know if I put a feather near the nose it will move if there alife if not dead!!! I put the feather on the man's nose it does not move then when I put it on the woman's nose it doesn't move then i see a girl.

Elijah's hollidays

This morning, we wrote 5 basic sentences about our holidays. we looked at a range of different connectives that will improve are writing. A connective is a word that joins a simple sentences, eg such as, never the less, in sprite of, but etz. Next, we spent time improveing are basic sentences by using connectives. Do you use connectives? if so , which one?

In the first week of the holidays I went to kid zone. I waited 30 minutes at a ride then they closed it never the less I still went on it.  In the last weekends of the holidays I went to see Spider Man Homecoming while having popcorn. Nearly every day my family had to go to hospital to see my papa. He just had his gallbladder removed and he's been in hospital all holidays until now.

After our session with Felicia from St John's in Schools we realised we had learnt a lot. We thought...how can we share what we have learnt? So we brainstormed lots of ideas...from making movies to presentations to art projects. Eventually we split into groups and decided what we want to create.

My group was Josh and Blake and we decided to create an i-move to share our learning.

Novel Study: How to Survive a Sharknado and Other Unnatural Disasters

This novel study was hard because I needed to pick the right book when we start so we can get through it easy. The reason I picked this book is because I was doing it for speech board and watched the movie of it. Hope you enjoy!

100wc: Now What Do I Need?

This weeks 100wc prompt was: What do I need now? I was focusing on: changing the opening of a sentence and to be level 4 on our punctuation ladder. Here is an image of it:

All right I am going to the the shop; let's go! I need to get prepared; there was Just a nuke (big gas bomb) warning!!  I jump in my car and drive to the shop. No one is here… then as soon as I get in the shop I look behind me and in seconds the shop is flooding with people. As fast as a cheetah, diving through the crowd I snatch my food off the shelf. But what do I need now? Then suddenly I hear a jet flying over me… then I drive into my secret underground laboratory...
