100wc

This week's 100wc was that the weather changed dramatically. We have been leaning to use better words and semi-colons.

It was a great afternoon I just made my lunch; I  go to watch tv and I hear it will be sunny then I run outside and jumped off a cliff… into water. But meanwhile at my house they had a tornado warning!! Then when I get up in the morning I hear lightning and loud winds when I look out my window a big tree goes flying through my window… after I walked away to my storm shelter put when I walked past my tv and the weather told us that your storm shelter will not be enough…

Lions Maths

This month Room 4 did Lions Maths because of the Lions Tour in New Zealand right now. It happens once every 4 years and every 12 years they come to NZ. We had to lots of adding, budgeting and keeping out costs below the budget, which was $10,000. Did you go to a Lions Game? Have you kept a budget before? It was hard!

speech board

Every year Drummond Primary School does Speech Board. Speech board is a thing where you do a powerpoint in front of an assessor, you have to do a poem, read at least 150 words from a  book. The teacher will pick your category. We did mini beasts. You use your brain to remember your poem off by heart and to do your speech perfectly. You also might do a phone call. The oldest do a welcome.

You can get a Fail which is the worst, Pass is the second worst, Commended is the third best, Highly Commended is the second best and the best is Distinction.

This year I got the best one - it is Distinction. It took me six years to get this and  I am really surprised that I got this because I had some muck ups in my speech. She must of been nice to give Distinction. It was fun because that was the first time that I got distinction!

the egg ???
Crash! We hear a car crash when we get there I see a big egg cracked open and the lid is gone… There is goo every where when get some goo off the ground and we fell same thing hard  it is the car.  We close the road then some one complained because people are snowballs at her window when the cops got there it was not a little kid throwing snowballs it was the lid of the egg had a cadnon on it and it was shooting the goo at it so we shoot it and it blow everywhere.

Dear Andrew,

I like that you always help no matter what. I am wondering what It must feel like if someone's life is depending on you? is it hard to do this nearly every day are you alone will doing this? Was it hard at first when it was Pitch dark  how much easier was it when you first got light? Where do you get your money to pay for your instructor and the $50 light? I would like to have your job saving people's life’s but it will also be very scared having peoples life depending on me .

Hard Out Running

Cross country

As we get to cross country we have to hop in my age group line then I hear we will start with 13 and 12 year olds I said in my head good luck Josh when josh came back he said he came 4th last but he helped his friends.

Then I hear 11 year olds  go! I zoom in to 4th place damn it I am getting the stitch this is getting really painful i have  to stop and walk for a bit then suddenly I look behind me and every one past me and I was coming last.

I just past the first person that cheers you on then I look behind  me and I see a massive group of girls rambaching at me I speed up to the next gate but I was not fast enough one girl goes  past me then a lot more goes past me.

I see three people ahead of me then one of them falls back and I pase him the annoying thing is that it was a makarewa kid and they don't count I speed up to the after kids and run with them it is good because one of them is my friend put at the next gate they ditch me.

Yay this gate means that we are nely there not match farer now  then  the hear of the 11 year olds girls pase me she seat gep going don’t give up then at the last gate I start to see some of the crowd all the ones I now are saying go Elijah you can do it.

Ow no I am starting to feel sick but I don’t want to give up I am coming up to the finish line my  mum is slowly coming into view she said elijah when I look at her she took a horrible photo of me I had my hand on my hip and I was looking sick.

When I finish Miss Spittle said you can go home now so I start heading to the car and have way there I  said I forgot my sweatshirt so we went to get it when we got it  I got in the car and seid oh no I thought my bag!! So my mum went to get it and then we went home.

As soon as I got home I jumped in the shower when I got out I had some dishes food. Then when my dad came home he seid how did it go I said charlt came 3rd , I came 7th and josh did will to then I went straight to bed  and slept for 12 hours.
